Replit Unveils Open-Sourced LLM, Raises Funding for Upgrades 🌪
TikTok is testing a new feature that lets users create AI-generated avatars for their profile pictures. This new tool uses AI to generate stylized, illustrated images based on users' uploaded photos. While the feature is only available to a few users at the moment, users can upload 3-10 photos of themselves and generate up to 30 avatars with up to 5 different styles.
Boston Dynamics integrated ChatGPT into their popular robot dog, Spot. This integration enables Spot, the dog, to communicate complex information with humans more effectively. Boston Dynamics demonstrated the integration in a demo video, here.
Replit has some big news! They just introduced their own open-sourced LLaMa style LLM, 'replit-code-v1-3b,' which is trained on 2.7 billion parameters and performs 40% better than comparable models. Plus, they raised $97.4 million in funding and announced some major upgrades, including production-grade deployments straight from the IDE and a more powerful workspace. It looks like Replit is on the fast track to AI unicorn status.
