Leaked Proof: Microsoft Knew Bing Chat Wasn't Ready

Amazon Releases a New Language Model that Outperforms GPT3.5 By 16%

Good Morning AI Runners 🏃‍♂️

Here's what we've got for you today:

  • Leaked Proof: Microsoft Knew Bing Chat Wasn't Ready

  • Amazon Releases a New Language Model that Outperforms GPT3.5 By 16%

So, Microsoft released their Responsible AI Standard in 2022, and at the same time OpenAI released ChatGPT. Microsoft's President, Brad Smith, was all like, "Hey, we're responsible for ethical AI" But, fast forward to February 2023 after releasing their Bing Chat, and reports started coming out that Bing chat was going off the rails.

A Twitter user even tipped off that Microsoft knew about this since November 2022, but they still let it slide, making Google do the same. Yikes. Apparently, Microsoft's website had info anticipating the gaslighting and passive-aggressive emoticons that were about to blow up (linked below). Talk about predicting the future!

Amazon has introduced a new model that performs better than GPT-3.5 by 16% on the ScienceQA benchmark, even though it is 784 times smaller.

(The ScienceQA benchmark is a significant collection of annotated responses to multimodal science questions)
