Google is releasing an API for its PaLM language model, allowing developers and businesses to create customized chatbots and other AI applications. Google is also launching a new app alongside the PaLM API called MakerSuite. “With MakerSuite, you’ll be able to iterate on prompts, augment your dataset with synthetic data, and easily tune custom models”.

Stanford's Alpaca 7B Model Takes on AI Heavyweight Text-Davinci-003

Researchers at Stanford University created a new language model called Stanford-Alpaca 7B. The researchers conducted a small study where they rated the output of both models and found that the Alpaca 7B model was just as good as the larger "text-davinci-003" model from OpenAI.
