Here's what we've got for you today:

  • Google’s Bard AI ChatBot Wiped Off +$144 Billion

  • Tron's Justin Sun Launches $100M AI Development Fund

  • Microsoft releases BioGPT-Large

Google recently announced its latest AI-powered features, but it didn't go quite as planned. You might have heard of Google's new bot, Bard, which is supposed to generate essays, speeches, and exam papers in seconds.

Unfortunately, during its first demo, the bot made a factual error that caused the company's stock to take a big hit. It all started when astronomers and space enthusiasts on Twitter noticed that Bard had made a mistake in an advertisement promoting the new technology. In the ad, the chatbot was asked about "What new discoveries from James Webb Telescope can I tell my 9-year-old about?" but it gave the wrong answer. Investors were disappointed and the share price dropped and wiped off more than $144 Billion.

Embarrassing for Google, especially that this is happening at the same time when people are on waitlists to download Bing and Microsoft Edge. What a time!

Justin Sun, the CEO and founder of the Tron blockchain crypto network, announced today the launch of a $100 million development fund aimed at integrating AI and blockchain into their ecosystem. According to the company's statement, the goal is to encourage people to build apps on their platform, using tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT.

However, it's important to note that Justin Sun is a controversial figure and tends to generate a lot of hype and excitement around his projects, which often leads to overvaluation and disappointment. Some might view this new AI development fund as just another attempt by Justin to stay relevant and hop on the latest trend.

Microsoft released BioGPT-Large, a domain-specific generative model pre-trained on large-scale biomedical literature.
